About Us

Our Story

The United States, a melting pot of cultures, owes much of its history and diversity to immigration. Among the many communities that contribute to this cultural mosaic are the Burkinabe and broader African communities. Inspired by the desire to showcase and promote African culture, Osseni Guiguemde (Loss Benky’s) and Simon Marco Kabore founded OMAFROW.

Our Mission

OMAFROW (Omaha Afrozik Wakat) is a cultural platform dedicated to celebrating and promoting African culture in all its diversity. Held annually in Omaha, OMAFROW aims to foster cultural cross-fertilization between Africans, African-Americans, and other cultures present in the United States. Our mission is to create a vibrant space where people from diverse backgrounds can come together to appreciate and celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of Africa.
